INGREDIENTS:
Step 1:
- 2 lbs ground beef (fried and drained on paper towels of all grease) set aside
Step 2: in 1 tbsp butter & 1 tbsp olive oil fry till softened on med heat approx 5 minutes
- 1 onion chopped (I use sweet)
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 2 med jalapeño chopped with seeds
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 tp sea salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Add back in the fried hamburger
Step 3:
- 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 28oz can of diced tomatos
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 27 oz can chili beans
- 1 27 oz dark kidney beans
- 1/2 cup water
Mix well
Step 3: Seasoning - in a side bowl blend
- 2 tbsp cumin
- 2 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1 tbsp Dried parsley
Mix well and add to the chili mixture.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Follow all the above steps. I like a dutch oven, but this also works great in a slow cooker even in a insta-pot.
Approx flavor time is 2 hours on low. I love making the day before and letting the flavors all absorb before serving, Add some fresh shredded cheese, with a side of cornbread and butter. Enjoy d
